Dedicate to all mothers…!!

The first word that a child learns to speak is mother. The word signifies care, love, concern and sacrifice. It doesn’t matter what the language is, the love and affection represented by this single word remains the same every where and in every language. When you are in pain, the first word that comes out of your mouth is “momma”,”Maa” which simply means that the first person you remember in pain is that of your mom. It also serves to reflect that the word is so soothing that merely by saying it; you experience an alleviation of your pain. This ordinary word has the power to make you feel secure in the hardest of times.

A mother is someone who loves her children unconditionally. She gives herself without waiting to be noticed.Her day starts and ends with a prayer that God would bless, guide and guard her children. Her heart bleeds whenever she sees her children in pain, but exercises disciplinary measures when necessary in order to mold her children to be a person of good values, innerstrength, integrity and good character. She doesn’t force her children to be what she wants them to be. Instead, she supports and guides them to realize their dreams and reach their full potentials. She painstakingly teaches her children life skills, patiently answers their queries no matter how trivial they may be and truly pays attention. She teaches them to do away with wrong doings and leads by example.

A mother’s task is never ending. It doesn’t stop even she’s in the office or anywhere away from home. There’s no day offs or time outs. No amount of money would compensate for the enormous tasks that a mother takes, but the hugs, smiles, kisses of her children are enough to soothe, to lift her up and to refresh her soul. She is like a wonder woman. She takes different roles at different times. She could be a teacher, then a counselor, anurse, a caregiver, a protector, a playmate or a friend. She would try hard to be what she thinks her childrenneed her to be in a given moment. A mother will do everything even the unimaginable out of her enormous love for her children.

A  mother is “NOT” just the one who gives birth.-This is just the BIOLOGICAL mother.

A “TRUE MOTHER” is the one  who takes care of that baby as  the most precious and important thing in her life.

A mother is  the one who stays up all night when her child is Sick or has a fever.

A mother is  the one who worries, when that child is growing up, to become a man or a woman.

A mother is  the one who worries when her Teen-Age son or daughter goes out, and arrives late., always thinking something might have happened to her child.

On the special day of year I recall the one poem about mother which tell everything in short and sweet……

A WONDERFUL MOTHER.

GOD made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He molded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks, fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

  1. Harshal…what a discovery!

    I feel the emotion and love…but are sad at the time when our mothers leave us.
    To be a child…hiding in her bosom…to be that time.

    Thanks for the tears.

    Jaye

  2. A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. Washington Irving (1783-1859)

    A post that touches the soul of every mother. thanks, Neptune Hero.

  3. “M” is for the million things she gave me,
    “O” means only that she’s growing old,
    “T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
    “H” is for her heart of purest gold,
    “E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
    “R” means right, and right she’ll always be.
    Beautiful Harshal…u made me cry…love you always.

  4. Some mothers are kissing mothers and some are scolding mothers, but it is love just the same, and most mothers kiss and scold together…..
